What do I do about dark circles under my eyes?

Another interesting post, Peter. I like that you mention something you like in your 40s may come back and haunt you in your 50s.

Always interesting and informative. Thanks for helping that "age process".

Thanks Peter, very interesting stuff. My friend just spent a boatload of money having all kinds of stuff like this done a few months ago. I didn't actually notice any difference and what little difference there was has now disappeared as the procedures were temporary. Unfortunately she's still paying the bill! I'm still waiting for the magic cure to this stuff. LOL I have a couple of good years left I think. You're amazing. I found the part about the sun damaging the deep layers very interesting, I never knew that.

Thank you Dr. Peter for the helpful advice. All the anti-aging regimens remind me of the movie Titanic. Remember, after the ship struck the iceberg and the damage had been assessed? The crew started the pumps, but all the pumps could do was slow down the sinking. Eventually the flooding would advance beyond the watertight bulkheads (walls) and the ship was going to go down.

This is not a criticism, it is just a fact.

Maybe we should simply accept the fact that we are aging, dress in our finest and go down like proper gentlemen.

Peter, you are a fascinating source of information on this subject!

Very informative. I didn't know how this happens... I'm reaching out for the sunscreen right now.

Peter,

This clears up a lot for me. I've always wondered why the "bags" show up. But you know...I've always had dark circles under my eyes, even as a child. Just the genes, I guess...bone structure or whatnot. Like Steve and Scott said, I've pretty much just accepted it.

Surely this can't happen to me!?

Sheridan

Luckily I don't normally have a problem with dark circles! This is great info though.

Peter, Thanks for answering my question about circles under the eyes! Great description, now that I understand it I have clipped a small halogen flashlight onto a fixture on my nose to brightly illuminate the area under my eyes and the "bags" are gone. I am looking for distributors, it looks a lot like the eyeglass holder that Steve Martin invented in The Jerk.

Works like a charm...and I have a propeller driven wind power generator in my cowboy hat to power the bulb. If I move fast enough it even works on still days.
